A complete web-based trading solution designed for both stand-alone use and to provide existing STT users access to the markets while they are away from their desktop application.
The Account Info widget window displays the larger parameters of your operating account. It provides a quick view into your holdings, including stocks and options, as well as your current purchasing power.
To view your Account Info window:
From the Add Widget pull-down list, select and open an Account Info widget window (shown below), if it’s not already displayed.
The Info tab (not shown above) lists your login/account information.
The Balance tab (shown above) includes the following fields that describe your account:
Field Name | Description |
Account Value | The account's start-of-day equity plus daily P/L. |
Market Value | The net value of stock and options positions in your account. This equals the sum of the column titled Market Value on your Positions window. |
Gross Position Value (GPV) | The market value of all long positions plus the absolute value of market value of all short positions. |
Long Stocks | Total value of long-position stock holdings in your account. |
Short Stocks | Total value of short-position stock holdings in your account. |
Long Options | Total value of long-position options holdings in your account. |
Short Options | Total value of short-position options holdings in your account. |
Buying Power | Total current buying power (i.e., trading credit) for your account. This amount is maintained in real-time on Sterling’s order management system (OMS). |
Daily P/L | Your account’s profit/loss for the current business day, marked to yesterday’s close. |
Total P/L | Your account’s profit/loss for the current business day, calculated as realized P/L plus unrealized P/L. |
Unrealized P/L | Your account’s current profit/loss for unrealized (i.e., non-closed) positions. |
Realized P/L | Your account’s current profit/loss for realized (i.e., closed) positions. |
Cash Balance | Current cash available in your account. |
