Using a Watch List

The Watchlist window displays fundamental pricing data for a list of stocks. You can select from several pre-defined lists, or build your own list. An example of the Watchlist window is shown below.

To view and maintain watchlists:

1. Select a watchlist – Use the pull-down list to select from a list of defined watchlists. Several are predefined for the STWeb desktop, including stock risers and fallers:

   
2. Build a new watchlist – Click to build a new custom watchlist of stocks. You are immediately prompted to enter a new name for the watchlist. Once you do, the new, empty watchlist appears. You can then add stocks to the list, as described below.
3. Add to a watchlist – With any watchlist displayed, enter (or search for) a stock in the Symbol field. Selecting the symbol immediately enters the symbol in the displayed watchlist.
4. Delete a symbol – With any watchlist displayed, click the Delete button in any row to remove the symbol from the list.

5. Customize watchlist fields – Clicking the icon on the upper-left (shown below) of the Watchlist window immediately displays a list of fields that can be displayed on the window. Select/deselect the items to display/remove them on the Watchlist.
