Viewing the Market Depth

STWeb allows you to view the market depth of book for a stock symbol across multiple exchanges in real-time. The MarketDepth window displays this dynamically-updated information, and includes hyperlinked cells so the user can click and quickly submit an order.

To view the market depth for a symbol:

1. Open an Order Ticket widget window (shown below), if it’s not already displayed.
2. In the Symbol field enter a symbol (or enter a string and search) specifying the stock to be viewed. Upon selection the current limit book (which is dynamically updated) appears in the quote montage below for the symbol. Above the symbol GOOG is specified.

Note:

• The limit book is displayed top to bottom, where the best highest Bid and best lowest Ask are at the top of the montage.
• The displayed bid/ask montage (i.e., the limit order books) are continuously updated with fresh exchange market data.
• For each bid and ask quote the exchange location (MMID), the bid/ask price and size are displayed.
• Each of the cells in the bid and offer montage is a hyperlink for quickly submitting a corresponding order. See section Market Depth Window.
• Limit prices at the same price level are displayed in a common color.
