Market Depth Window

You can quickly submit stock orders using point-and-click methods on the Market Depth widget window, as described below.

To click-and-order a stock from a Market Depth window:

1. Open a Market Depth widget window (shown below), if it’s not already displayed. Here real-time best bid/ask prices from multiple exchanges are displayed for a selected symbol.

   

   Note:

   • The displayed quotes (i.e., the order limit books) are continuously updated with fresh market data.
   • For each bid and ask price the exchange (MMID) location, bid/ask price and the size are displayed.
   • Each of the cells in the bid/ask montage is a hyperlink for quickly submitting an order.
   • Bid/ask prices of the same price are displayed in a common color.
2. Enter (or search for) a symbol of interest into the symbol field. The order book quote montage from multiple exchanges are immediately displayed in the depth of book for that symbol.

3. To place an order, click on the appropriate bid or ask cell on the quote montage. An Order Ticket window opens, similar to below.

   

   Note the that the order instruction fields are populated in part from data corresponding to the cell selection.

4. Proceed with the preparation fo submission of your order ticket by adjusting the instructions fields as appropriate (see section Order Ticket Window).

5. When the instructions are set click Buy or Sell to trade accordingly. A verify and confirm window opens where you can review the order you are about to submit. Then click Trade to submit the order for processing.

   Your new order appears in your Orders window, described in section Viewing Your Orders.
